SOL by The Marudam Society
SOL is a developing community initiative under The Marudam Society, supported by a diverse team of professionals and advisors in counseling, education, mentoring, family support, and community work. We are currently building the initiative with careful planning, clear structure, and long-term impact in mind.
SOL stands for Spectrum, Outreach, and Leverage. Inspired by the Latin word sol, meaning “sun,” SOL reflects a desire to bring light, growth, and possibility into individuals and communities.
Spectrum — Supports people across different stages of life, from childhood to adulthood, in understanding their interests, strengths, potential, education, and career direction.
Outreach — Creates opportunities for gathering, community, and connection through shared activities, service, and meaningful experiences.
Leverage — Helps people develop themselves and make better use of their strengths, skills, knowledge, and experience so they can continue growing.
Senior Program Advisor
Dr. Taekyun Oh holds a Ph.D. in Educational Studies (Mentoring) from Trinity International University, USA. A retired professor of Chongshin University, where he served from 2003 to 2026, he brings extensive experience in higher education, family support, counseling, and community leadership.
He is the Founder & President of the Korean Christian Family Counseling Association. His international teaching and ministry experience includes work across South America, Australia, and Southeast Asia. Since retiring, he has remained active in teaching across Southeast Asia and in counseling practice at SAM Hospital in Anyang.
At SOL, he provides senior guidance in program development, family support, and community engagement. In addition to his advisory role with SOL, Dr. Oh also serves as one of Marudam’s senior counseling professionals.
